Theresa – Sorry you had that run-in. God, it’s so hard to find a balance!

Tacit1 – Thank you for saying my comments are intelligent and witty (pay attention, people!). I write everything “live” while I’m online, I mean it and I guess I don’t have enough control to get a consistent voice. These are my thoughts. If you stay with me here, I promise I’ll get better.

I have enjoyed your intelligent & witty responses on the “Self Conscious” blog & thought I’d check yours out. I thought there was an interesting contrast between how “I want you” I & II. II seems a bit more reserved, almost like a different voice altogether…

I’m more familiar with his predecessor, “If I was your lover/boyfriend, I’d go nuts if anyone else ever looked at you.” That’s enough to send chills down my spine. I also know “If you leave me, I’ll kill myself.” (It’s been 16 years and he’s still alive.)

I’ve met the guy you wrote about a number of times. Upon first glance he seems like a perfectly ordinary likeable guy. How else could he gain the trust of an innocent?
