We have Mockingbird nests around us each year. They go absolutely ape when the cats are in the window, but they just go on the laert for people. One usually takes up a post in one of the trees in the front yard and watches us warily when we get in or out of our cars. They may chatter a bit if we linger, but I have yet to be divebombed by one. I do love to listen to them!

Here in my part of Maryland we use owl statues to scare off annoying or distructive birds.

Short of that try Xanax and body armor for poor Miss Molly.

Killing is not on the agenda. I’m thinking of just doing something that will disgust them so much that they will move voluntarily. Like sunbathing in a thong. All the neighbors might move.

Oh I love that mockingbird picture! Not surprising, since I have a whole series of paintings devoted to them. I got inspired after we rescued an orphan a few years ago. If you go to the link you can read the backstory as well as view the paintings. Sorry to hear they're giving you problems, but what can you do? Short of killing them, I suppose. Which I hope you won't do.
