If you’re an aspiring musician looking for a name for your new band,
…you may need to look no farther than your email inbox. Today I received otherwise useless messages from:
- Elusive Toothpick,
- Campanile Cross and…
- MegaDik
to name but a few.These would all be excellent band names, I think, but I have a question: Do the spammers really think I would send my bank account information to someone named Elusive Toothpick, even if they have approved my loan application?

At least you get creative SPAM. Lately, all my SPAM is pretending to be a Greeting Card from a Friend or a Classmate. But they can’t fool me. I know that Hallmark and American Greetings are not likely sending announcements from addresses like xxqupiasrm@yahoo.com

Elusive Toothpick would also be a great screen name!

MegaDik is a good name, but not as cool as “Lesbian Truck”, which is what my new bedroom band is going to be called. Get any messages from a lesbian truck lately? I think not.

Dave Barry used to identify such random phrases as good band names.

Narya - And where is Dave Barry, now that we need him?

Dave’s not here, man….
And I must say, I’m starting to take those MegaDick spammies way too personally. Must be cuz I’m off my meds. {sigh}
OK, just looked in the Spam folder and came up with my next band’s name:
The Colonex-aphobics!
Hmmm… Maybe not…
